Having System Restore Points stored on the computer allows you to fix the computer, in case it starts to malfunction or slows down after a Windows update, installation of third part Apps or for other reasons. Note: To backup personal files, you can use Backup & Restore or setup File History Backups on your computer. ![]() The positive side of this behavior is that you won’t be losing 2 weeks of work, if you decide to restore your computer using a System Restore Point that was created 2 Weeks ago. You need to be aware that a System Restore is not a complete backup of your computer, it only backs up System Files, Program Files and ignore all your personal files.
